"GO BIG OR GO HOME!"
Maximizing Your Potential
We
sometimes think the obstacles standing in our way is due to physical barriers.
The truth is, often we are the blockade limiting our own progress. Due to negative
thoughts which hamper obtaining our full potential.
Going
big is not just a catch phrase, it is a way of life, or can be. All it requires
is putting forth more effort to achieve whatever it is we’ve set our minds to.
It’s okay to think big, when you do, the return is greater. When you think too
small, the results often speak for themselves.
No
matter what your goals are in life, you must be the largest investor in your
dreams. The incentive to do and be your best is geared to your self-worth. If
you discount your ambition, then expect others to see you as unworthy as well.
The
truth is, they see whatever we project of ourselves. I’m not saying be pretentious
or sell yourself as something you’re not. However, to have confidence in your
ability, remember, you are what you believe, and those around you will perceive
it as truth.
The
best way to live up to your expectations is to educate yourself. I can’t say
this enough. Never go into any venture blind or half-heartedly. You get back
what you put in. We should know every aspect of our chosen goal. The highs and
lows, and the energy each endeavor will need.
The most challenging realities of any project are
low engagement, low term thought, badly conceived ideas, poor management. These
are all goal killers. It is important to stay focused, to see beyond today, and
believe you can achieve.
Reality checks are
necessary. After all, none of us have supernatural gifts, still we do possess
certain talents that exceed standard abilities which validates possibilities.
Most career minded
individuals share these common traits; passion, a strong work ethic, people
skills, determination, creativity, competitiveness, and self-starters.
You should never allow
anyone to assess your worth, ability, or goals. In a word, de-maximize your
potential. Be strong in your beliefs,
your ability and knowledge. Only you can set the pace to either go big or go
home, when you maximize your potential.
