“TAG ME IN”
Partnered Writing
I remember watching tag-team wrestling every Saturday
growing up. Not because I liked or even wanted to but because with seven brothers
who controlled what we watched, and sports enthusiasts to boot, left me with
little choice.
Still, one of the highlights of Saturday night wrestling
was tag-team wrestling. The excitement of watching them double-team an opponent
build the enthusiasm, and somehow I found watching the sport wasn’t so bad
after all.
Fundamentally speaking, two heads are better than one,
and I found that also true when you team together equally talented writers.
Recently, I stumbled across a James Paterson book
titled The President is Missing. Guess who he partnered up with, that’s right,
Bill Clinton.
Who knew our 42nd president was so talented
a writer.
Alright, so with one of the G.O.A.T Mystery/Thriller
writers helping you, it makes it look so easy.
Hey, teamwork makes the dream work.
What better way to create a story than partnering up?
Not only do you add expertise and knowledge to the
mix, but you gain a new perspective as well.
What a dynamic duo? And a way to brainstorm ideas, to help
with re-writes and editing. If this isn’t a reason to team up, then I don’t
know what is.
So the next time you’re preparing to create a
masterpiece, don’t forget to tag another talented writer to join in.
