C. L. Ledford was born in the city of Chattanooga, TN. Where she was raised by her grandparents to be a strong and independent person, she became an avid reader at the age of eleven, when her fifth-grade teacher gifted her the book, The Black Stallion. With this book, her love of books grew.

In middle school she began to write what would be one of many books swirling around in her head. Silver Moon Kiss came to life with two chapters and multiple scenes before it was packed away and not thought of until after she had become an adult. C. L. Ledford writes in Paranormal Romance and contemporary romance. Her first published book The Second Alpha Heir released on June 14, 2022.

By t’ll time she had moved to a little town called Ringgold, GA, and married her husband where they raise their three children and five German Shorthair dogs. Along with her love of writing and reading, she also enjoys hunting behind her dogs.

 The Second Alpha Heir:

The bullied second son of the Alpha, Nolen, just turned thirteen when his brother Archer is attacked and killed by an enemy pack—making him the next heir of the Rhyolite Pack. Forcing him from his family to an allied pack for training.

He returns a few days before his eighteenth birthday back to his home to shift for the first time. He finds his mate, but due to a law, he cannot confront her. Three years later, misfortunes await him when the enemy pack that killed his brother challenges the pack again. His parents’ taken prisoner, Nolen must now try to find a way to become stronger to save his pack from the enemy alpha.

Will he be able to regain his pack and take his Luna? Or will his destiny be robbed of him?

 Silver Moon Kiss:

Trigger, a werewolf with a dark past, is the singer/guitarist of his band, who returns to his hometown with his bandmates on tour; while there, he finds Kayle, a human girl whose father is a scientist who experiments on the supernatural. They meet briefly at the concert, where Trigger finds it hard to keep her out of his thoughts and must find her to find out why he is so drawn to her.

Kayle is in her last year of high school when one fateful night she meets Trigger, who was captured by her father’s commandos, and she learns a secret that even he doesn’t know. She has to fight to be able to be with him and learns more than she ever could about the supernatural world, much more than she ever expected. Many obstacles await them as they learn about their pasts and their futures together.

I’m a big fan of the Paranormal and Sci-Fi genres. I have written several soon-to-be-published novels and watched Star Trek, Star Wars, and The Twilight Zone growing up. I’m sure all a little before your time, except Star Wars. I believe that franchise will live on for Infinity.

Because I loved those moves and television shows that inspired me to write in this specific genre, what was your inspiration?

You mentioned the gift of The Black Stallion from your fifth-grade teacher. I think it’s amazing when a simple gift changes your life and take you in a direction you never thought possible.

I’m sure that teacher is super proud that she played a part in your writing journey today. It triggered a love of books and, later, a writing career.

Have you had the opportunity to thank her for triggering your gift?

Not only the teacher but thank your grandparents, who encouraged you to be independent and listen to your voice. Be bold and use your imagination to create the stories inside your mind.

How do you believe this has shaped you into the writer you are and will become?

How has your love of writing affected how you inspire your children to read and maybe trigger an unknown talent in them?

Raising children isn’t easy, and when you factor in the amount of time it takes, not to mention shortages of time to write, how do you manage that?

What about your husband? Is he understanding and supportive of your artistry?

If you could leave one impression about writing and books to inspire another person to do what they love, what would it be?
